We are filled with gratitude and joy as we celebrate the diaconate ordination of our brothers:

Obih Lawrence, OMV; Oko David, OMV; Felix Adekoya, OMV; and Francis Omeka, OMV.

This marks a significant step in their journey toward the priesthood. Through the sacred laying on of hands of His Lordship, Most Rev. Dr. Peter Kayode Adetoyinbo, Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Abeokuta, and through the prayer of the Church, they have been configured more closely to Christ the Servant called to proclaim the Gospel, assist at the altar, and serve God’s people with humility and love.

This moment is not only a personal milestone for them, but also a blessing for the Church, particularly for OMV Nigeria, which continues to be enriched by their generosity and commitment. Their “yes” stands as a quiet but powerful witness in a world that often looks elsewhere for meaning. The occasion was graced by the priests and seminarians of OMV Nigeria, as well as other faithful present.

We entrust them to the grace of God as they begin this new chapter of ministry. May their service be fruitful, their faith steadfast, and their lives a reflection of Christ, whom they now serve more closely.
